This is a great resource to just read about the implementation of PCK in teacher. It goes through a research project a student conducted about he importance of teachers having PCK before starting teaching and how teachers need experience to implement their own teaching pedagogy into the classroom. I just found the research interesting and encourages me to really focus on my own teaching pedagogy.

I love Teachers TV. I'm glad we can still access after it closed down a couple of years as it is so educational and gives practical demos for preservice teachers everywhere, as well as accredited educators also. It's so good to have real life teachers taking you through their strategies and lessons. very educational for those of us who are learning all the time to prepare us for the day we are the teacher.

early childhood ideas inside and outdoor activities

I follow this group on Facebook and love seeing all,of their post. They post ideas and believes that should just be second nature to all childhood teachers though sadly are not. Play really does hold such an important role in the learning of young children, whether it is using the natural environment or ICT resources, allow children to be children and enjoy their childhood and let them learn naturally not through over processed activities designed by teachers that just need to meet paper work requirements.

This blog is full of fantastic ideas, resources and creativity for early childhood teachers, and pre service teachers.

Ms Cassidy's blog documents the interesting and valuable learning achievements of her students. Her blog offers a great variety of lesson ideas, including those which involve ICTs such as twitter to communicate with other learners from around the world and enhance the learning experience of all.

This blog site is up to date and relevant, providing an inside look at the class practice with current photos and videos.

I found this blog really interesting as it shows the children are engaged in using ICT in the classroom with their own blogs and videos of their work. It also shows the use of not using ICT with lots of hands on experiences. I think it shows the importance of using both in the classroom depending on what your learning. I will definitely keep a close eye on this blog.

David is a middle years teacher in Toowoomba working in a private school. David blog aims at the students, the parents of the students and other teachers ofcourse. A quick read of the blog shows David focusing on the students and their development, with blogs around behaviour management and reference to Maslow's theory on student environments. Other blog posts see David referring to TED talks and posting regular info-graphics to inspire his students for the week.

Research also suggests that educators help motivate students by using materials and implementing activities that students consider meaningful (Spratt, Humphreys, & Chan, 2002). As one of Pinkman's students wrote, "...once or twice a week I check my blog and then other students write comments for me, my motivation is up, usually teacher check my blog, so if I read teacher comments my teacher thought about me, my motivation up" (Pinkman, 2005, p. 20). Due to the popularity of computer and Internet technology and the growing interest in blogging, it was expected that our group of learners would also find the use of blogs in their English language study highly motivating.

This is the Blog of Leanora Donnelly a special education teacher with whom I have had the pleasure of working. She is passionate about inclusion and differentiation, interests I also share. Its great to hear people say that we need to work together. I remember years ago a friend of mine (who was a Grade 6 teacher) told me of her frustration when she would encourage her students and they were alive with excitement to learn and explore and the work they handed in was exceptional from her point of view. However, six months into the next year she would be so disappointed because the grades of the Year 7 students would be declining and their attitude was one of apathy. What she wanted to do was to work with the Year 7 teacher so with a combined effort they could assist the students to continue their positive attitude throughout their time at upper primary school. The Year 7 teacher felt threatened and the sad cycle continued. Matt has opened my eyes to view how education can change by the use of the cloud. His perception seems futuristic, but may be fulfilled in the near future. I have highlighted some information that I found interesting for people to view.
